Our visit this year was in early December. Unfortunately we found that only one camp loop was open, and it wasn't the loop we enjoyed last year. But we decided on site 10, which offered a nice view of the lake. Only thing missing was some water - levels are still down significantly. Next door on site 11 was friend Susan in her LD.

Date of visit: Dec 2008

In 2007 we arrived the Sunday after Thanksgiving and found the campground nearly empty. After checking out the entire CG, we chose site 50, located on the end of a small peninsula.

Most sites are waterfront and offer great views of the lake - too bad the lake level is so low. Here are sites 49 and 48.

Site 66 is one of the 8 "primitive" sites without hookups.

Over near the boat launch is site 85.

Site 25 is on a little inlet of the lake.

For the ultimate in privacy, I recommend site 39.

Susan - this site is just for you !

Site 15 is large and private.
Another nice lake-side site is 12.
Here is the little peninsula where our site is.

There are three bathhouses located in the campground. Although they're not heated, they do offer nice hot, free showers. This one also has a small laundry room with a pay washer and dryer; the other two do not.

There are two beaches in the CG. Unfortunately, with the lake level so low, they are unuseable. This one, between sites 5 and 6, also offers a playground and a large picnic pavilion. .

This is the second beach, located between sites 40 and 41.

At least the boat ramp is still useable. You can see from the land-locked pier how low the lake is.

Sunrise from site 10.
Sunset from site 50.
As the sun went below the horizon, the clouds became more and more vivid.
