Being early March and the start of Spring Break season, we had made a reservation about two weeks prior to our visit. We selected site 78, a nice waterfront site. Date of visit: Mar 2009 |

Sites 30, 28, 26, 24 (l-r) are nice open and sunny sites.

Sites 135, 139, 138 (l-r) are at the far end of the campground. |

One of 4 bathhouses located in the campground. They all offer free hot showers and two have laundry facilities. |
A short walk from the campground is the Camp Store. It sells souvenirs, beach supplies and a few basic groceries. |
There are two short nature trails in the park - very pleasant walking. |
An original "Cracker" turpentine still has been relocated to the park. Various displays detail the process by which turpentine was produced. |
Boaters will find a dual boat ramp and a small marina. |
Available for rent are kayaks and pontoon boats. |
And here is what everyone comes for - the white sands of the Panhandle Gulf coast. This is the beach facing the open Gulf of Mexico. |
The park is on the west side of the inlet channel from the Gulf to Grand Lagoon; this is the beach along the channel. |
