Lake Jackson City Park, AL
Despite the sign, this is no longer a state park. In October 2015 the state of Alabama closed 5 state parks, including Florala. The city of Florala stepped in and assumed ownership and operation of the park. We were here just 4 weeks later. The city council just voted to rename the park Lake Jackson Park, but the signs have yet to be replaced. The park is located on the northeast side of Lake Jackson and is conveniently located within walking distance of downtown Florala with its shops and restaurants. The campground is small with only 28 sites, each with full hookups. Date of Visit: Nov 2015 |
