Located in southeast Alabama a few miles south of Eufaula, White Oak Creek is a favorite destination for fishermen. Lake Walter George and Lake Eufaula lay claim to being the bass fishing capitol of the world. The campground easily meets the high standards one expects at COE parks.

With the Corps' policy of maintaining a large number of non-reserveable sites, we had no problem finding a great site. We set up on site 121, which gave us a great view out over Lake Walter George.

    Date of visit: Mar 2009

Sites 116-121 are located along the shore of the lake in the River Chase loop. Most sites are back-ins, but there are a few pull-throughs. All sites have 30A electric service and water.

Sites are laid out very nicely. Many of the sites in the "second tier" are situated up a slight hillside, giving them a good view of the water.

The Mallard Point loop is currently closed; when open it is used for "Tents Only". Shown here are sites 4-8.

What a site, eh? A most pleasant grassy area between our site and the lakefront.
