Jumbo Rocks Campground is located in the Mojave Desert section of Joshua Tree NP at an elevation of 4400'. As you'll see from the pictures, it's amidst a major area of large rocks of all descriptions. The CG is first-come, first-served.

We arrived late one morning, and plenty of sites to choose from. As we were looking for a site, we passed another Lazy Daze, with Alabama plates. So we decided to take the site in front of it, #41. A few minutes later, the AL folks came back to their rig....it turned out we had met them earlier this year in Florida!

Sites for RV's are generally quite small and are mostly pull-offs along the camp road. It's obvious that this is primarily a tenter's campground.

This was one of my favorite sites, although not suitable for even a small RV.

Scattered through the campground are these small vault toilets. No showers.

This was one of our favorite rock formations in the campground.
