We arrived at Corney Brook on a Friday mid-afternoon and were lucky to find a site - there were only three left. One, site 16, was just right for a small RV - it was at the end and large enough that we could park cross-wise and enjoy the ocean view. We were the only RV.

    Date of visit: Aug 2009

This give you a pretty good idea of what the campground looks like - quite open and sunny. Sites 7-14 are in the background along the bluff overlooking the water.

As you enter the CG, sites 1-6 are on the left.

    cobr13
Around the back of the loop are sites 16-20.

Way back in September of 1967 we camped here while on our honeymoon. The main difference we noticed was the growth of the trees around the campground away from the bluff.

There are two kitchen shelters which offer a couple of tables and a wood stove.

    cobr15
The campground is perched on a bluff high above the ocean.

    cobr03
Steps lead down to the rocky beach.

    cobr05
Lots of driftwood has piled up on the beach.

Yes, there actually is a Corney Brook, shown here as it flows down onto the beach.

    cobr12
I spotted this eagle high in a dead tree near the brook.

Someone had gone to some trouble to arrange these large smooth rocks into a set of easy chairs, perfect for ewatching the sun sink slowly into the Atlantic Ocean.

    cobr17
    Sunset over site 11.
