Loch Lomond is a private campground in Amherst, Nova Scotia, just a few miles from the New Brunswick border. Although it has a number of seasonal sites, there were quite a few for transients and short-stay folks. This is a full-facility campground and is very well maintained and has a very friendly and helpful staff.

On our way to Cape Breton, we pulled in here for the night and found a number of available sites. We were assigned to site E-13, which had the benefit of afternoon shade.

    Date of visit: July 2014

As is usually the case with commercial campgrounds, sites are close to each other with little privacy. The area for short-stay campers especially fits that description. These are sites E 4-16.
