St Ann's Bay Campark is located just a mile or two north of the Englishtown ferry in the village of Jersey Cove. It is a fairly large private campground with mostly seasonal sites.

Arriving on a Saturday afternoon in August without a reservation is a risky venture, but that's our usual MO. We got lucky here; although the campground was essentially full, owner Katannya Kayler found us a spot. And actually it was a pretty nice one, right down by the water and nicely shaded. No hookups though, but that wasn't an issue for us.

Here you can see how close we were to the beach. The beach is covered with small stones, but seemed to be a popular swimming spot.

As far as I could tell, sites aren't numbered.

Most of the waterfront sites are for tents and have no hookups, but there was one area with a few hookup sites at the water's edge.

    stan08
Most of the sites are in the open and are crowded rather closely together.

There is a small recreation building (in the background).

Looking down towards the water, you can just make us out under the tree in the distance.
