    Trumbo Point FAMCAMP, FL

     The NAS at Key West offers two campgrounds. NASKW Campground on the main base offers full hookups, but is difficult to get into during the winter. Reservations are not accepted, and until a site opens up for you, you are sent over to Trumbo Point, where there is over-flow, dry camping for300 RV's. When a site opens at Sigsbee, you can take it for up to 2 weeks, then you must move back to Trumbo and go back on the list for a Sigsbee site. Note that use is restricted to military personnel only.

    We stayed at Trumbo Point during our 5-day visit to Key West. One advantage to Trumbo is its proximity to downtown Key West. Since we don't have a toad, it was nice to be able to walk to all the tourist attractions.

    Sunset at Truman Annex. Across town from Trumbo Point, we found it a relaxing place to spend the daytime hours.
