Here we are on site #38, beside Hard Labor Creek. The buds were just popping out on the trees. This is a nice sunny site and setting up the satellite TV dish was easy. Unfortunately, Verizon cell service was essentially non-existent. One afternoon I was able to get a connection, thanks to our external antenna.

    Date of visit: Mar 2006

Here are sites 36, 33, 32, and 30. These are among the more open sites. All sites offer W/E(double 30A)/TV. There is a dollar per day fee for using the cable TV connection.

Overlooking Lake Brantley are these more shaded sites; #46 is at the left. All sites have lots of terracing to make them level and offer space for parking, tents, and sitting around the campfire.

Here are sites 15 and 14.

The bathhouses here are not of the newest GA standard design, but are clean, warm, and offer hot showers. At the time of our visit, laundry facilities were available at one of the four bathhouses.

The Creek is the park's 18-hole golf course. Rocky Creek cuts through the course, creating water hazards on five holes.

Many golfers enjoy staying in one of the 20 cottages at the park. Ten are being totally renovated this spring.

Lake Brantley provides recreational activities, with picnic pavilions and tables, play equipment for the kids, and rental boats and canoes. During the summer, swimming is available at nearby Lake Rutledge.

Another popular offering of the park is a separate campground for horse riders. Here is one of the 12 pull-through campsites with one of three stables in the background. A total of 30 stalls are offered.

A small dam in Hard Labor Creek creates Lake Brantley. Just below the dam is this small rapids.
