Since there had been very heavy rain here just a couple days before our visit, I knew the grass sites would be in poor condition - lots of mud. We were able to get a paved site in Area F, #38.

There are a few sites that are almost waterfront. On our visit in Nov 2006, we were on site #57 in Area A. Sites in this area are either grass or gravel. In wet weather, some can get very muddy. On previous visits, we've seen motorhomes and trailers stuck in the mud.
Great sunsets across the Patuxent river.

This shows some of the sites in Area A - the trailer at right is on A-26.

These sites are in Area G. A bit crowded, but with at least some gravel instead of dirt and/or grass.
Electric hookups offer 20/30/50 amp outlets - not all are 50.

One of several bathhouses in the campground. Laundry facilities are in the right side of the building.

Area C is a section that has paved sites. The trailer at left is on Site C-2.
|
Area F is the newest loop, and quite popular - we had never been able to get a site there until our last visit in 2009. These are all paved and more widely spaced than the rest of the campground.
|
Another view of Area F. To the left is site F-19.

Adjacent to Area F are two yurts that can be rented.

Here is the bathhouse and laundry room for Area F.

There's a nice walking path along the river; at the south end of the path are number of picnic shelters and tables overlooking the river to the left.
