We didn't have a reservation, but when I learned the other day that tomorrow (27 Jun) was a once-a-year event, Engineers Day, at the Soo Locks, I called Aune-Osborn this morning. They had a couple of cancellations, so we were able to get a site. Here we are on site 78.

Of course, sites nearest the river offer the best views of river traffic, but even further back, the sites let you see the action.

Sites are gravel and grass in a large field.

Sites are fairly close together and there's not much shade.

A few sites have a tree or two nearby.

As you enter the campground you first see the office and bathhouse building. Individual shower rooms provide free, hot showers.
