John W. Kyle State Park, MS
John W. Kyle State Park is located just below the Sardis Lake Dam about 10 miles northeast of Batesville. It's open all year and is a very popular fishing spot. It is immediately next door to Oak Grove COE Park and three other smaller COE parks are very close: Sleepy Bend, Beach Point and Elmer's Hill. The park was originally built by the Corps of Engineers, but the state took it over some years ago. It appears that the state has not maintained the park to the same high standards as the COE. |
