Sleepy Bend COE Campground is located on the west side of Lower Lake below the Sardis Lake Dam. It contains fifty primitive campsites with no hookups. Although normally open year-around, it was closed when we visited due to some dead trees that need to be removed. We did not stay here, but walked through while staying at nearby Oak Grove COE Campground.

    Date of visit: March 2014

Site 19 is pretty typical of all the sites here. Some are fairly close to the camp road, while others are set back a ways. I'd say they would be considered walk-in sites.

Site 5 is the only site with an electric hookup. I'm not sure if it's intended for a Camp Host or is used as a site for handicapped campers. In any event, it's a nice site near the water.
