Bighorn Campground is a small, no-frills camping spot on the north edge of the town of Glenwood, in southwestern NM on US-180. The only amenities are picnic tables, fire rings and grills on stands, along with a vault toilet. We were a bit nervous as there was some traffic in and out of the campground well into the evening, but nothing occurred.

This is what you see when you pull in off the highway. Two sites are located at the edge of the camp road, while the other four are nestled in the trees at the far end of the road. Should all sites be occupied, there's plenty of room for 2 or 3 RV's along the side of the wide road.

We selected the second site in, situated on the bank of a dry creek-bed.

This would be site 3, if numbered.

I don't think this is supposed to be a site - it has no table, but it appears to be used occasionally as a tent-site.

This is one of the fanciest, yet smallest vault toilets I've ever seen, other than an old-fashioned outhouse.....and it was locked!
