Plenty of space in early June. We were told to go pick a site and come back to register. It turns out we had picked a "prime" site at a higher cost; when I pointed out that the map we were given made no mention of "prime" sites, I was told to look at the rate sheet. But even that wouldn't have helped, for nowhere were the sites identified as to which ones were "prime". We ended up on site 90, a non-prime site.

We found that sites were really crowded in here, much closer than usual for a state park. Not a problem at the time of our visit, since there weren't many campers there, but on a busy summer weekend, you and your neighbors would be VERY close. Here are sites 125-142 in the D loop.

This is the row of prime sites in the C loop. Behind them, to the right, is the bluff overlooking Lake Ontario.

Sites 49-61 in the B loop.

Bathhouses are modern, clean and offer hot showers.

Near loops C and D is the campstore (closed at the time of our visit).

If you prefer a little more comfort in the way of accommodations, there are 24 cabins available for rent. They sleep from 4 to 8 people.

A paved bike/hike path leads from the campground down to the beach.

Atop the bluff behind the trees is the campground. The beach itself is rather rocky - no sand.
