Imagine our surprise to find ourselves parked between two other Lazy Daze; one of them was even someone we knew in their brand-new 2008. We're on site 63.

    Date of visit: May 2008

And down just a few sites were two more, on sites 52 and 50.

The campground sits out on a small peninsula, with lots of sun. Very pleasant in cool weather such as today. Here are pull-through sites 35-37.

Some of the sites are rather interesting - they're designed as pull-ins, rather than back-ins. I surmise that is so you're facing the harbor out your front window. This shows 18-19.

Sites 7-9. This gives you a good sense of well-kept the grounds are here.

If you want to face the action in the marine, sites 1-11 and 95-108 are just the ones. The lone RV is on site 100.

There are two centrally-located modern and clean bathhouses, offering free hot showers. Each also has a laundry room ($2.00 for washer, $1.50 for dryer). There is a wi-fi transmitter atop each.

Here's an overall view of the campground, taken from a small knoll near the north end of the campground.

Even the overflow area is relatively scenic, sitting right beside the marina.

Just after sunset, a Coast Guard helicopter came in and hovered over the river. Evidently involved in a training exercise, a para-rescue technician was lowered several times from the chopper and hauled back up. This took place directly behind our campsite.
