Gifford Woods State Park, VT Gifford Woods SP is located in central Vermont near Killington, just off US-4 east of Rutland. , between Brandon and Middlebury. A major attraction of Gifford Woods is the great hiking in the area; the Appalachian Trail passes through the CG.
