Toaster Oven Shelf |
|
We were getting tired of having to haul out the toaster oven each time we wanted to use it, so I built this shelf in the dinette area. It's easily removeable if we have company for dinner. |
|
This overall picture shows how little space the shelf occupies. Three people can easily use the dinette; if there's a fourth, the shelf and toaster are quickly and easily removed. I have found that Minwax Golden Pecan stain is a very close match to the LD interior wood surfaces. |

I put a small cleat along the edge of the table support board to keep the shelf from slidng forward on the table. I glued a small piece of rubber padding to the bottom of the board. |
The main shelf is built with 1/4" birch plywood with two pine boards underneath to provide strength. On the right you can just make out the blue rubber padding I used to prevent the wood from scratching the wall. |
