Being the WxToad (WeatherToad) I naturally had to have my trusty weather instruments with me. The bottom dial is my Maximum anemometer, while above it is a matching barometer. And right beside them is my NOAA Weather Radio.
This is the outside part of the wind set - the speed cups and directional vane. They unscrew as one piece from the mast and are stored inside when traveling. The mast, using a marine railing clamp, quickly folds down and is held secure by a home-made bracket. A weather-proof multi-wire connector mounted in the rear vent cover provides a handy place to plug it in.
When not in use, the vane and cups unscrew from the mast and are kept in this rack in the tall compartment on the driver's side.
