25 Jul 11: I'm truly amazed at how many ways the idiots in Washington can prove how dumb they are. One of the latest instances of this is the recent partial shutdown of the FAA because of lack of Congressional approval for its budget. 4,000 employees were furloughed, airport construction projects worth 2.5 billion dollars are put in jeopardy, and the government is losing 200 million dollars a week while the collection of airline ticket taxes is suspended. And to add insult to injury, most of the airlines are still collecting the tax and plan to keep it!

21 Jul 11: "Obamacare falsehoods: You can keep your current doctor: Lie. You can keep your current insurance: Lie. Hearings will be made public: Lie. The deficit will be reduced: Lie. Four hundred thousand jobs will be created immediately: Lie. There are no death panels: Lie. Taxes won’t be increased on families earning less than $250,000 a year: Lie. And all of this comes before the first Obamacare waivers exempted the White House’s best friends from the rules that you must follow." Dr. Milton R. Wolf, The Washington Times

14 Jul 11: Government run amok: The National Institute for Health (NIH) is mailing out $2.00 in cash to people to try to get them to participate in a health survey on AIDS. Over a three-year span the NIH plans to send out over one million dollars of your and my tax dollars. This decision supposedly came straight from the White House; Secretary Sibelius was aginst it and the Office of Management and Budget opposed it.

13 Jul 11: Wouldn't it be really neat if we could believe anything the bozos in Washington are telling us about the debt limit fiasco? Some folks say there really isn't a crisis at all, while Obama and Geithner would have us believe the world will end as we know it on 2 Aug. And Obama has even stepped up the hysterics by saying that it may well be that the the government won't be able to send out Social Security checks on 3 Aug. Of course, he didn't mention stopping funding for studying the habits of some little creature in Madagascar, or replacing the windows in some Forest Service building that has been closed for years; he picked something that is sure to inflame citizens. Good old politics! Here are some figures from the US Treasury Department: In the year ending in April 2011, the interest on the national debt was 213 billion dollars. During the same time, revenue coming into the Treasury totaled 2.2 trillion dollars. So doesn't it look like we ought to be able to continue to pay the interest on the debt?

1 Jul 11: President Obama took office in Jan 2009. Let's see how he's doing:

                                      Jan 09                       Today                       % Change

Unemployment                  7.3%                        9.1%                     25% increase

National Debt                10.6 trillion                14.3 trillion                   35% increase

Gas Price                         $1.83                        $3.74                     104% increase

Is that the Change YOU voted for???
