Belfast & Moosehead Lake RR
The B&ML RR was shortline that ran from the Maine coastal city of Belfast to Burnham Junction, where it interchanged freight and passengers with the Maine Central RR. These are some pictures from the mid-1960's, along with a couple of "after the demise" pictures from 2009.

Here we are quite a few years later, with very little to be found of the B&ML. In a small city park we found this little vestige of rail.

However, the enginehouse is still standing. It was last used by the railroad in June 2005, and just a few days after the last run, the armstrong turntable had been removed and the pit filled.
