After passing the city golf course one arrives at the park. Registration is in this office building that also houses the showers and laundry facilities. The office staff was very friendly and helpful.

Date of visit: Mar 2012

We liked site 12, which was on the end of the row and looked out over a wide grassy area, yet had a couple of shade trees. Sites 1-40 are in the full-hookup loop.

Sites 1-20. The camp road is paved, but individual sites are gravel and grass. Each has a cement pad with a picnic table and a raised grill.

Sites 37-40.

Sites 22-27.

Site 33 shows what can happen when parks allow long-term stays. Fortunately it was the only one with so much "stuff", although the Camp Host site was almost as bad.

There are two modern bathrooms with sinks and toilets. Free hot showers are located in the rear of the park office building.

The Wilderness Loop contains 34 sites with electric and water hookups. There is no convenient bathroom facility. Here are sites 69 and 73.

The Wilderness Loop is much more rustic than the full-hookup loop, with more trees and undergrowth. Here are sites 66 and 67.

For those with a boat, there's a ramp near the campground.
