The RV park office is just inside the entrance to the campground area. Hours seem to be a bit sporadic, with instructions to go to the Horse Activity Center to register when the office is closed. I went to extend our stay a couple of days and found both locations closed.

After checking in, this is the initial view of the campground. It is basically a large field with a few trees here and there. Parking is on the grass, and the dirt roads can get a bit muddy when it rains.
We selected site C-2, located at the end of a row nearest the horse pasture and stables.
All the sites are pretty much the same. When full it could be rather crowded, as sites are small and very close together. Hookups are in groups of four - four 30A outlets and four water connections. These are the sites in row A.

 Row B.
 Row C.
 Row D.
When not busy sites can be used as pull-throughs, but otherwise rigs would be parked back-to-back in order to use all the electric and water hookups.
 Row E.
Row F is at the back of the campground and consists of 7 back-in sites on gravel....AKA mud when it rains!

The bathhouse is fairly new and is one of the nicest we have encountered in a long time. It was spotless inside and provided free hot showers. The only downside is that the showers are not ADA-compliant, having raised sills across the openings.
The RV dump station is rather unique and a bit of a problem to use with the openings several inches above ground level. And they don't have the standard-sized opening that would hold a hose fitting.
From our RV we could see the stables and some horses out in the pasture
On weekends the park offers trail rides, and during the week riding lessons are available.
The campground is at the start of a 6 mile walk and bike path that ends in downtown Baton Rouge. A unique amenity is an air-station that bikers can use to top off their tires.
Across the street from the park, the trail is along the top of the levee, with the Mississippi River right beside it.
There is a lot of barge traffic on the river.
The LSU campus with its Tigers Stadium is just 2 miles north of the park.
