Just about a year to the day after last year's visit, here we are again. We were surprised to see nearly all the waterfront sites empty, but 15 struck our fancy. When Mouse, the site manager, came to collect our fee, we learned why: the lake had been flooding occasionally and these sites had had to be evacuated. He cautioned us to keep our eyes on the water level..

That evening, at suppertime, I took a picture of the BBQ grill with the water just about touching its base. When we got up the next morning, the water was up past it under the edge of the concrete pad.

Last year (2010) we pulled into arrived just after lunch on an early April Wednesday. We considered ourselves fortunate to find a vacant waterfront site, #11.

Sites 11-17. Unfortunately the park had to cut down over 50 large trees which shaded the sites, so most are much sunnier than they used to be.

There are three small bathhouses, one in each loop, with free hot showers.

There's a large beach and swimming area right beside the campground.
