Frances Slocum State Park, PAFrances Slocum SP is located in northeastern Pennsylvania near the town of Wyoming, about 12 miles southwest of Scranton. There are three campground loops: one with electric hookups, one without hookups and a walk-to tenting area. Frances Slocum Lake provides fishing and boating opportunities, there are hiking and biking trails and the day-use area features a swimming pool and snack bar during the summer months. Caution: Double-check the route offered by your GPS system - ours led us to a non-existent park road off Calverton Road. The park entrance is on the north side of the park on Mount Olivet Road.
