As one enters the FAMCAMP, the small office is on the right. It's open all day on weekends, weekday evenings and sporadically on during weekdays. The staff is very friendly and helpful; the office was closed when we arrived so we used the self-registration process. Later someone came over to our rig to say hi and ask if we had any questions or needed anything.

In 2014 we stopped at Kirtland for a few days before heading over to the Balloon Fiesta for a week of dry camping. The park was fairly full, but we were able to get a nice site, 32, with a little shade on each side.

There are two sections to the campground. The west side is the older area, but quite pleasant with grass and trees. When we first visited Kirtland in in 2011, we chose site 15 up front near the office and bathhouse and with a nice shade tree.

There is a row of 27 non-hookup sites.

The newer section is over to the east of the office. Out in the open, one does have a great view of the mountains....but no shade. These are sites 35-40.

Sides 1-20.

The bathhouse is small, but clean and offering hot showers. There is also a small laundry room - there are problems with the machines and they need to be replaced. The dump station is located just behind it.
